Stay Well ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
We collect only what's needed to run the app:
We do not collect location data or contacts. We do not access your device's camera or photo library except when you actively choose to scan a recipe.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
Stay Well uses Anthropic's Claude AI to power several features. Depending on what you use, this can include:
This data is used solely to power the feature you're using and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not send personally identifiable information (such as your name or email) to Anthropic.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security policies ensure each user can only access their own data.
All payments are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. We never see or store your payment card information. Subscription management (upgrades, cancellations, refunds) is handled through your Apple ID settings.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This immediately and permanently deletes your account data — including your profile, household, meal plan, cookbook, chores, calendar, scanned recipe photos, and notification settings — from our servers. It cannot be undone. If you're the owner of a household shared with another member, you'll need to remove them (or have them leave) before you can delete your account, since deleting the household would also delete their data.
Recipes you've published to the community cookbook, or shared directly with another person, may remain visible under an anonymized attribution after you delete your account, since that content has already been shared with others. You can remove a shared recipe yourself before deleting your account if you'd rather it not remain.
Stay Well is not directed at children under 13, and account holders must be 18 or older (confirmed at sign-up — see our Terms of Use). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Stay Well does let parents and guardians enter information about their own children — such as names, ages, and dietary notes — for household coordination purposes. This is information you provide about your family, not information we collect from a child directly. See the next section for what happens when you choose to share that information with someone else, such as a babysitter.
Village lets you put together a sheet for someone watching your household — such as a sitter — combining your meal plan, snacks, household member details (including any dietary notes you've entered), and any free-form notes you add (for example, a bedtime routine or emergency contacts). This can include information about your children.
When you choose to share a Village sheet, Stay Well creates a link. Anyone who has that link can view the sheet — no Stay Well account or app installation is required, and the page is not indexed by search engines. This is similar to sharing a link to a Google Doc: the link itself is the only thing that controls access, so you should only send it to people you trust.
You control how long a share link stays active. By default a new link expires after 1 day, and you can choose a longer or shorter window, or no expiry, when you create it. You can revoke a link at any time from within the app, which immediately stops anyone — including someone who already has the link — from viewing it.
You are responsible for choosing who you share a Village link with and for revoking it when it's no longer needed.
You can delete your account and its data at any time from within the app (see Section 6). To request access to or correction of your personal data, contact us at the address below — we will respond within 30 days.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
